Nécessaire went into Prime Day with proof that Meta and TikTok were quietly fueling Amazon sales, even when they showed up as “organic.”

Armed with that evidence, they increased spend and beat their peer group with 47% higher revenue. Most teams would’ve cut back and left millions on the table.

Google pushed the stable Android 16 to eligible Pixel devices, adding Live Updates notifications, Auracast audio sharing, improved notification grouping, and an integrated pro video codec. QPR1 is already in beta with Connected Displays and a Material 3 refresh. This shifts app and accessory experience design across Android OEMs and gives marketers new hooks for real-time engagement and lock-screen visibility.

Microsoft introduced a 13-inch Surface Laptop and a 12-inch Surface Pro with Snapdragon X Plus NPUs (45 TOPS), 16GB RAM, and aggressive pricing at $899 and $799. Battery life claims and Copilot+ features aim to pull mainstream buyers into AI PCs. Retailers get price-point flexibility for back-to-school and holiday, and accessory attach rates should benefit from a larger ARM Windows base.

Microsoft and Asus confirmed the ROG Xbox Ally and Ally X ship Oct. 16 with Windows, unified game libraries, and deep Game Pass integration. Pricing remains TBD amid tariff uncertainty, but specs include 7-inch 1080p/120Hz screens and an AI-enabled Ryzen Z2 Extreme option. This expands the handheld PC category and opens new attach opportunities for accessories, subs, and remote-play experiences.
